Ale-Braised Pulled Pork (Slow Cooker Recipe)
Preparation Time: approximately 8-10 hours
Serving Size: ½ cup, Serves about 16-20

Ingredients
4-5 lb pork loin or butt
2 TB kosher salt
¼ cup brown sugar
1 TB onion powder
1 TB chili powder
1 TB black pepper
2 TB smoked paprika
2 TB dry mustard powder
6 cloves garlic, peeled
16 oz brown ale (such as guinness, new castle, etc.)
1 onion (red or yellow), sliced (optional)
Directions
Combine all ingredients except pork.
Place pork in slow cooker container and cover with ale mixture. Turn slow cooker on low for 8-10 hours until pork falls apart with two forks. Shred pork and return to slow cooker, allow to marinate with sauce an additional hour.
Turn-out & Storage
Serve at a family gather or holiday on your favorite bun with onions, mustard, red cabbage, aged cheddar, and fresh tomato as toppings! Also great as a taco, quesadilla, or a pizza topping! This recipe can be combined in the slow cooker container ahead of time and placed on the heating unit when ready!
Pulled pork in sauce can be stored for up to 5 days under refrigeration.
