Question: If your talking about portion control does that still mean you can eat as much fruit and veggies that you want or do you limit them as well?

In a word: yes.

I consider fruits and veggies “unlimited foods”. I would say to watch the amount of sugar in fruits, but generally there is no harm in having an abundant mixture of both.

Remember potatoes and corn are starchy so limit those (because they are not true vegetables, and are no different than eating a plate full of rice) and concentrate on ones with added benefits like the “good fat” in avocados (a great mayo replacer!), lycopene in tomatoes, and the antioxidant rich properties of berries. If a veggie has a robust color to it, most likely it is high in antioxidants (think carrots, kale, red bell peppers, etc)

Its best to keep fresh and local right now as age deteriorates nutrition quality - and ramps are in season right now so get a bunch!

This answer was short and sweet. Hope it helps - Happy Eating!
