Ask The Sage

If I eat fruit in the morning for breakfast, what else can I eat to feel more full?

Thanks for your question!

Fruit is a terrific breakfast idea, so good going! As for accompaniments, you can try several things, check these out:

Protein Packed

Banana, Pear or Apple + Peanut Butter + Greek Yogurt

Fiber Rich

Apple + Peanut Butter + Whole Grain Bread

Omega 3 Rich Breakfast

Fruit + Greek Yogurt + Chia Seeds or Flax Seeds (high in Omega 3 fatty acids)

Very Berry

Mixed Berries + Breakfast Cereal or Mixed Nuts + Milk Yogurt

The Everyday

Fruit + Yogurt + Granola

The Drink

Banana or Apples + Peanut Butter + Yogurt + Apple Juice = a delicious smoothie

The Weekender

Fruit, chopped + Pancakes or Waffles or Crepes + Honey

I also recommend mixing up the fruit you eat daily. This keeps this fresh and creates the routine of eating healthfully in the morning!

I hope these ideas help you in having healthier fruit-filled breakfasts! Summer is the perfect season to start eating fruit, since they are in prime season. The goal with any breakfast is to include fiber, fruit or vegetables, and protein.

Good Luck and Happy Eating!
